Paula's obituary

Paula Guidry passed away February 24th 2026 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with Colon Cancer. She lived her life with strength, heart and unmistakable spirit leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She was the world's best Nanny to her grandchildren and mom to her children. She loved showing up for them and putting them first in everything she did. She cherished any opportunity to gather with friends and family, loved hosting get-togethers and had a special gift for bringing people together with laughter, warmth and music.

Paula lived a life only most of us dream about. She was well traveled, ready for an adventure whenever and wherever. Concert? She would be front row and more than likely have backstage passes! DJ? Sure! She will be your favorite morning drive time rock-n-roll gal at 89.7 KACC. Houston Rodeo? Sign her up! She loved working production and broadcasting for Salsa TV and other various projects around the Rodeo again through KACC. Realtor? No problem, she could sell you a million dollar property in no time flat. Party Planner/Event Coordinator? She could throw a 4th of July Beach party or PaulaPalooza Music Fest like no one's business.

Paula was preceded in death by her father, Donald Guidry Sr., brother Rodney Guidry and many friends and family. She devoted herself to caring for her father through his battle with Alzheimer’s disease, standing by him with unwavering love while also bravely facing her own fight with cancer. She also had many other friends and family awaiting her at heaven's gates.

She is survived by her loving mother, Judith Guidry; her son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Jessica Guidry; her daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Kash Robertson; her beloved grandchildren, Aubrey and Cole Robertson; her brothers, Donald Guidry Jr. (Patricia) and Micheal Guidry (Alisa) and many many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends that will miss her so dearly.

Paula will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her love of music and the way she made everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her legacy lives on in her children and grands and the many lives she touched.

A Memorial Service will be held March 22nd at The Barn in Alvin from 1-4PM.
