Paul's obituary
Paul E. Womble of Plymouth died peacefully on January 10th at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion, his residence for the last two years. Born in Boston on January 3rd, 1957 to Loretta (Adler) Womble and the late Paul Womble Sr., he grew up in the Quincy-Dorchester area. He was a graduate of Quincy High School and his love of cars led him to a long-spanning career with the State Police as a mechanic out of Danvers, Bourne, and Ayer.
Paul was an avid car buff and enjoyed cruising in one of his Mustangs, going to car shows (sometimes cross-country), and watching NASCAR. He loved to cook, often professing his food to be ‘made with love,’ and always seemed to have a coffee in hand. He could nurse any plant back to health thanks to his green thumb and loved taking his dogs out for a joyride. Some of his favorite pastimes included watching action movies with his brother and tinkering in the garage at home.
Aside from his mother, Loretta, he is survived by his daughter, April Womble Romano, his son-in-law, Jesse Womble Romano, and his brother, Scott Womble, all of Plymouth.
A memorial service will be held at that Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home located at 373 Court Street, North Plymouth (near Cordage Park) on Monday, January 27th from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Cremation will take place at Vine Hills Crematory in Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the memorial fund to help pay for final expenses and future Celebration of Life event.
