Paul's obituary
Paul William ‘Paulie’ Foster, of Toledo passed away on January 29th, 2025 at the age of 69 in Murrels Inlet, SC after a short battle with cancer.
Paul was born on October 15, 1955 to Gene and Yvonne (Jacobs) Foster in Toledo, Ohio. He was raised by Danny Thomas (founder of St. Jude Childrens Hospital and co-founder of the Miami Dolphins) brother William (Bill) and Albenia (Bea) Jacobs. He attended Gesu grade school and later graduated from DeVilbiss in 1973. Paul earned a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Toledo. He worked at Walbridge Coatings for 36 years, until his retirement in 2017.
Paul had a deep passion for football, especially for the Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, and Ohio State University. His loyalty to these teams never wavered, and his enthusiasm was contagious, bringing those around him into the excitement of the game. That same energy extended to his love of music, where he was known as a walking encyclopedia of musical knowledge. With an appreciation for a wide range of genres, he had a special fondness for The Beatles, a band that remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Described by many as ‘one of a kind,' He was always ready with a funny story to tell, adding laughter to the lives of those around him. His unique personality and energy will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Above all, Paul was a man of strong faith. His devotion and trust in Christ were evident. The void left by his passing cannot be filled, but the joy and love he brought into our lives will resonate forever.
He is survived by his children, Nicole (Bradley) Everly of Sylvania, Brian Foster of Point Place and his Grandson Gibson Everhardt. A memorial will be announced at a later date in the spring.
