Paul's obituary

Paul Anthony Venzor passed away in his hometown of El Paso, Tx. on September 10, 2020. Paul was a proud American, sharing his birthdate with our Country. He was born on July 04, 1967, to parents Thomas E. Venzor (deceased) and Yolanda Briones Feria. Paul is survived by his mother Yolanda Feria, wife Jennifer, son Vincent, and daughter Amanda Rodriguez. Also left to mourn his passing are his siblings Dora Frescas, Elizabeth Venzor, Thom Venzor, Vanessa Villa, and brother-in-law Albert Villa. Paul was adored by his nieces and nephews, who include Crystal, Amber, Ashley (Dora), Ivan, Allysa, (Elizabeth), Stephanie Marie (Thom), Jasmine, Jaeden, Kiara, Devin (Vanessa), many cousins and extended family. Paul was preceded in passing by his maternal Grandparents: Aureliano and Carmen Briones, Paternal Grandparents Jose and Elvira Venzor, stepfather Raul Feria, aunt Estella Macias, cousin Manuel Briones, cousin Michelle Rodriguez, nephew infant Sylvester Davila Jr. and best friend Robert Valdez.

As a young adult, Paul found great pride in working alongside his grandfather Aureliano (Papi's) at Rainbow Graphics, a shop owned by his grandfather. There he learned the process of color separation, knowledge which he used throughout his life when creating art. He was employed with El Paso Parks and Recreation for 20 years, as a back-flow specialist and irrigation specialist. He worked many city events, such as The Thanksgiving Parade, Christmas Parade, and Light show Downtown. He took pride in helping set up La Jacintos Christmas tree during the holiday season.

Paul was known for his sense of humor, making all those around him laugh, through impressions, drum solos, air guitar, or jokes. He had a love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Metallica, and Sunday Oldies. His passion for drawing has left us many cherished memories for many years to come. His love for Sunday cookouts will be greatly missed. He was also known to show compassion for the less fortunate, whether giving the shirt off his back or his last dollar to the homeless or helping the elderly cross the street.

A devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He has left a void in our hearts and will be missed eternally.

Due to Paul's unexpected passing during this Covid-19 pandemic, a small graveside service has taken place at Restlawn Cemetery. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
