Paul Henry Srigley

August 11,1949 – December 23, 2023

Paul Henry Srigley, formerly of Grand Rapids/Lansing, Michigan and Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023, at the age of 74 after a brief illness.

Paul was born August 11, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He remained in Michigan until relocating to Texas in the early 80s. He worked for Imperial Sugar in Sugar Land, Texas until his retirement after 25 years. He then worked for Continental/United Airlines for 10 years, until his full retirement in 2014. After retirement, Paul relocated to Santa Teresa, New Mexico to be closer to his daughter, Sherri.

Paul was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving in both the Vietnam Conflict and Korea. He was a member of the VFW. He was an avid movie enthusiast, especially action films, enjoyed motorcycles, adding to his many collections, the Pittsburg Steelers, Country Western music and dancing. Paul’s friends and family will remember him as the kindest, most generous, hard-working soul they ever knew.

Paul was proceeded in death by his mother, Elaine DeBoer, father, Hamilton Srigley and stepmother, Bessie Srigley. He is survived by his three daughters and stepson, Dawn Srigley of Tacoma, Washington, Rebecca Kmiec of Houston, Texas, Sherri Srigley, of El Paso, Texas and Wesley Balogh, of Texas. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and his faithful fur companion, Gabby Ann.

Paul final wishes were to be laid to rest with his mother at the Courtland Township Cemetery in Rockford, Michigan. A military burial ceremony will be held at the graveside on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers or condolences the family asks that you make a donation to your favorite charity in honor of Paul’s memory.
