Paul's obituary

Paul Joseph Reardon, 71, died on November 28th in North Adams, MA. Paul was born on October 4, 1948, in Stamford, CT, the third of five children to Thomas Reardon and Anne Reardon (née Murphy), both by whom he is predeceased. Paul worked for the Connecticut Supreme Court for many years as a Court Reporter before relocating in 1995 to the beautiful Berkshires of Massachusetts to raise his two daughters, Abbie and Emily, whom he believed -- “correctly,” he would want to add -- to be the greatest things to have entered his life. In Berkshire County, Paul worked for the former Kolburne School and Gould Farm. Throughout his life, he had a profound fondness for the arts, crossword puzzles, and the New York Yankees. He was known to wistfully talk about the days of Mickey Mantle and Lou Gehrig. However, above all else, Paul treasured being a father most. His family will remember him with great affection and gratitude for his care, which was unstintingly given during what was at times a challenging life. In addition to his daughters Abbie of New Brunswick, NJ and Emily, and her fiancé James Mendez, of East Patchogue, NY; he is also survived by his siblings Sister Maureen Reardon of Hartford, CT; Thomas (Ellen) Reardon of Stamford, CT; Sheila Piscetta of Oradell, NJ; Anne (Thomas) Donahue of Vernon, CT; and by his former wife and the mother to his daughters, Colleen Reardon (née Quinn) of Norfolk, CT. Paul is also survived by a son of his same name, Paul (Carla) Reardon of Nashua, NH, from a previous marriage; a grandson, Kyle; and many nieces and nephews. Donations in Paul’s memory can be made to Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign or to whichever Democratic candidate ends up contesting Donald Trump in the general election come November of 2020.
