Paul loved to go hear bands play at bars but hated to dance, he had a certain number of drinks he had to have in order to get on the dance floor. To people sitting around us I probably sounded like a nagging old lady by asking how many drinks he had, but in reality I was just checking to see how close I was to getting to dance!
