Background
Our dad’s death was untimely and losing him has been very difficult. Knowing our dad did not have a Will, life insurance, or retirement in place, our family was not prepared for the additional stress of financial expenses to pay due to his untimely passing.
Our dad provided much love and support throughout his community. He believed in acts of service for mankind and the concept of "Paying it Forward". Those fortunate to cross his path in a time of need received his kindness, words of encouragement, and possibly the shirt off his back. As an example, he provided assistance during the Skilak fire on the Kenai Peninsula by transporting donated food and water from local establishments to the first responders fighting the fires.
These acts defined the character of our father and were seen in his simplest lifestyle. Our dad lived modestly, with less stress, more time, and more fulfillment in the end. So much so, that he removed most of the materialist items from his life to focus on more important things and standing by his morals.

We know and respect that everyone grieves in their own way, and that you may have other ideas or ways you would like honor our dad or pay your respects to his family. Donations will be used to offset bills and other expenses. Any donations beyond this will be used to assist with paying for legal fees associated with settling our dad’s estate through probate because he didn't have anything in place to assist with navigating his affairs.
