Dear Family and Friends,
After battling pancreatic cancer for the past three months my dad passed away peacefully with Aaron and I by his side. He was able to spend alot of time with us and his granddaughters over the past month. I read him your many notes and cards, and they meant alot to us both. We are planning a memorial service in Sarasota on November 9th, and will have a celebration of his life in Maine next summer. No donations or flowers are necessary, but we would love for you to share stories, comments, photos, haiku, etc... here at this memorial site.

Paul MacNeil, beloved father and grandfather, poet, and consummate storyteller, passed away on Wednesday, October 30th, 2019, surrounded by family after a battle with cancer.

Paul was born on January 7th, 1948, in Lowell, Massachusetts, to Judith and John MacNeil. Along with his older brother Peter, he grew up in Sarasota, Florida, but spent his summers in the woods of northern Maine. These summers were filled with tree climbing, hiking, and canoeing on Lake …
