Paul's obituary

Paul Eugene Leman of Dandridge TN went to be with Jesus on October 27th, 2021. Paul was born in Bremen, IN on November 18, 1932, 4th of 9 children of John and Lillian Leman of Eureka, IL.

Paul graduated from Eureka High School in 1950. Paul served his country in the Army branch of the Armed Services, doing medical research at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science at Illinois State University (Normal) and later went on to complete his Doctor of Education degree from the University of Illinois (Champaign/Urbana). He held various teaching and administrative positions in public and private education, including the positions of Principal at Lyons Township High School (LaGrange, IL), Principal at Glendale High School (Glendale, AZ) and Principal at St. Charles High School (St. Charles, IL).

Paul married Milli Haas of Elgin, IL on August 31, 1958. Paul is survived by his wife Milli, his son Jeff (Jaclyn) Leman of South Jordan, UT, and his daughter Jill (Rob) Maercker of Dandridge, TN. Also surviving are his 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and one sister Lydia Hohulin of Goodfield, IL.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 1 sister.

Paul and Milli lived in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL for most of their married life, before moving to Dandridge TN in 2020.

Paul’s interests included: Tennis, Golf, Basketball, Ping Pong, Swimming and had a love for the ocean. Paul was known for a gentle and immovable way of standing up for what is right and good. He was known for having a smile on his face, a great sense of humor and a love to interact with people.

Paul gave his life to the Lord in 1951 and was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Chicago (Hillside, IL). His faith was of utmost importance to him, and always enjoyed talking about the Bible with his kids/grandkids, friends and associates.
