Paul Robert Koontz was born on November 20, 1949 in Hawthorne, California and passed away on August 9,2025 in La Palma, California. He passed away surrounded by his wife and kids at home.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Koontz of twenty-nine years. His father Bill Schilling. His daughters Lianna Barstow and her husband Brian Barstow, Ashley Koontz, and Taylor Koontz. His brother Steve Koontz and his wife Trina Koontz. His four Grandchildren Audrey Brown, Cash Nijst, Oliver Koontz, and Mila Barstow.

Paul was a hardworking tradesman who worked his way into Project Management. He took pride in everything he had his hands on. He focused on every detail of any situation to make it as perfect as possible. Teaching all three of his girls along the way.

His greatest accomplishment was being appointed the Project Manager of the Disneyland King Arthur Carousel rebuild.

Paul and his wife Carolyn loved to spend their vacations in Pismo Beach, CA or cruising down the Mexican Riviera.

Paul was a loving husband, father. Grandfather, and friend. His legacy will never be forgotten.
