Paul's obituary

Paul Joseph Weirmier, 66, of Capac, Michigan, passed away on September 2, 2023. Paul was born on August 14, 1957, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, to Harold and Freeda Weirmier and grew up in Berville Michigan. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Armada, Michigan.

Paul was a very kind and caring man. He was always there to listen and give support. He was a loving role model to many nephews, nieces, and great-nieces. Paul will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nancy Weirmier. He leaves behind his daughters, Jennifer (Chris Baird) King of Capac and Elizabeth Day of Memphis. Paul was a proud Papa to Jayden King, Josephine King, Bryce Day, Reese Day, and bonus grandchildren, Autumn, Zack, and Mariah Baird. He was also a beloved brother to his twin brother Peter (Pam) Weirmier of Gladwin, brother Pat (Kandice) Weirmier of Gladwin, and sister Pamela (Mike) Vollen of Lynn township.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Freeda Weirmier, his in-laws Jim and Dorothy Norkiewicz, his granddaughter Macie Day, and his nephew Bryce Weirmier.

After graduating from Armada High School in 1975, Paul served in the Army from 1982 to 1986. He proudly served his country during this time.

Paul's career spanned many years as a gravel train hauler and was recently retired. His dedication and hard work were evident throughout his career.

In his free time, Paul loved spending time with his greatest joy, his family. He loved watching Michigan wolverines and Lions  football. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid gardener with a green thumb like no other.

A celebration of life for Paul Joseph Weirmier will be held on September 30, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Lynn Township Hall, located at 13995 Yale Rd. We invite all friends and family to join us in honoring and remembering Paul's life.
