Santee – Paul Howie, 81, A man of strong faith, a Marine, and loved by many, went home to his Lord and Savior on March 20, 2020. He was a talented craftsman, a finish carpenter, an accomplished licensed contractor, an avid nature lover, and a Deacon for 33 years. Originally from Danville, Illinois, from a large family of 22, he moved to Santee in 1970. He is survived by the love of his life, Joy Lynn Howie, his wife of 59 years. In addition, he is survived by his children: Paula Joyce, Trissa Napolean, Kimberly Howie Kruger, grandchildren: Jennifer Joyce Chatfield, Amanda Kruger, Samantha Joyce, Aaron Kruger, a great granddaughter, Karina Hubner and another great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by siblings: Phillip Howie, Daniel Howie, Barbara Sager and Sandy Howie. His love for the Lord and his family meant everything to him. He never missed an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with those he met. John 3:16, I Thess. 4:13-14.
Due to Covid-19, a small intimate gathering of immediate family will be held in order to celebrate his life. Please join us in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
