Paul Horsten of San Leon Texas went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 14th, 2023 after a long battle with congestive heart failure and other health complications.

Paul was born on July 22,1944 in the Netherlands. He was one of four children to Antionius & Helena Horsten of the Netherlands.

Paul traveled to Canada in his early 20's before settling in America. He pursued his passion of flying as a pilot. He then owned an upholstery business and retired in 2020 after having a stroke.

Paul lived in Texas for over 25 yrs. He was married to Velma Horsten. He spent his last days in the care of his only child Nancy Wilkins in Joliet, Illinois.

Paul loved ballroom dancing, being around his friends, and loved his latest house that faced the ocean.

Paul is predeceased by his parents., a brother & a sister. He is also survived by his sister Helena and his brother Theo, both of The Netherlands.

Paul is survived by his wife Velma Horsten, his only daughter Nancy               ( Thomas ) Wilkins, his grandchildren Amber ( Trevor ) Samuelson,  Alex Robertson,  Timothy ( Grace ) Ruth, Allison ( Robert ) Ruth, and his great grandchildren, Elaina, Valarie, Fiona, Max, Kyndell, Kadyn, Leanne, Layla, Dallas, Delilah, Payton, Ariella, Hudson & Hayden. 

Paul will be cremated and a memorial service to come at St.Edwards in Christ church of Joliet.
