Why I learned from Paul was to be less judging of people. Be joyful in all things. Enjoy the people you are with. Bloom where you are planted .

He seemed to reflect these qualities of LIFE. Paul was an example of these things.

We will miss him, my son Jacob was a roommate at one time ; and my grandson Anthony will also miss him.

Our Family invited Paul to Christmas Dinner 2020 bc he was a friend with our son Jacob, and ex-roommate as well…and it was Christmas , and His Family wasn’t in town. When I told him that several people in our family had a fever and were not feeling well, Paul didn’t care, he came in and sat down and ate anyway🤩 and He never did get sick. Paul became a regular at meals and sitting with our family at Mass at St.Pius X Catholic Church in CDA, Idaho. He always had a smile. We all will miss him very much, but God has him now forever peaceful. Amen. The Roletto Family

My sister, Bridget, put it perfectly: “Our beloved Paul Grady left this world too soon due to a heart attack on Tuesday night. His contagious laugh, gentle soul, and strong bear hugs will be sorely missed. We love you Pauly! “

Yes, our beloved brother, Paul, departed this Earthly world too soon last night from sudden cardiac arrest. I will miss his contagious laugh, his gentle soul and strong bear hugs.

I will miss the after 2 PM iced coffee Dunkin’ Donuts tradition for a caffeine reboot in the afternoon we started during his last few visits. I will miss that every time I received a box marked, “Fragile,” I would text him a picture and ask how he would pronounce it. “It’s Fra-jee-lay, of course. Must be Italian.” He loved this reference to “A Christmas Story.”

I remember staying at his college house when he had eight roommates! No matter how crazy it got, he was always my big brother and looked out for me.

It still makes me smile when I think about when he and three friends from dental school came to visit me around St. Patrick’s Day when I first moved to the Chicago area. I drove him, his three friends and about five other of my friends to Navy Pier. We had so much fun.

I love how much you adored your niece and nephews. They loved you back!

I will forever treasure the week you spent with us in May when you came for C’s confirmation. I didn’t know that would be the last time I would get to hug you and tell you that I love you, but I will remember your smile when you hugged me goodbye before leaving for the airport.

I didn’t know the last time I’d hear your voice was just a couple weeks ago when you left me a happy birthday message, but I love that the last words you said to me were, “…love you. Hope you have a great birthday. Bye.” I have listened to this voicemail message a couple times since yesterday, and I just loved hearing your voice again.

I will miss you, big brother. I love you, too. I am so proud of your determination and how hard you trained for the 5K and 10K treks you did Memorial Day weekend and a few weeks later. I was so excited to come to Idaho next summer and walk one with you.

We may not get to do the Hiawatha together next year, but we will do a trek together one day.

Keep on walking on that Trail to Heaven. This may be “bye” for now, but know that we all love you and will one day meet again.

Until that day, here is an Irish Blessing for you, Pauly.
