Paul's obituary

Paul Norman Crabtree of Rohnert Park California passed away on September 7th, 2021. He was 70 years old. He was born on January 25, 1951 in Angleton Texas.

Paul lived in Austin, San Francisco and Three Rivers California before residing in Rohnert Park in Sonoma County with his companion and husband of 19 years Michael Walker.

Paul is preceded in death by his father Estill Crabtree, his mother Miriam Josephine Crabtree and his younger brother Leigh Davis Crabtree.

After a long battle against cancer, Paul finally entered home hospice care until he peacefully passed away on September 7th with his devoted husband Michael always by his side.

In earlier years Paul was employed at the Texas State Hospital in Austin Texas for many years. Afterward he co-founded Apex Landscaping. Before relocating to California, Paul received his BA degree from the University of Texas and later his Masters of Public Affairs from the prestigious LBJ School of Public Affairs in 1991. In 1992 he received a certificate of recognition by Governor Ann Richards for his service in the office of the governor.

In Los Angeles Paul owned and managed multi-family housing. In 2010 he and Michael moved to Three Rivers California in the foothills of the Sierras very near to the entrance of the Sequoia National Park.

Wherever he lived Paul was always able to make new friends. All of them were kept close to his heart. People enjoyed being around him. Whether long time friends or recent acquaintances, people always enjoyed his companionship.

A warm thank you to the nurses and staff of the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, the Sutter Home Health Care, and to the dedicated people of the Sutter Home Hospice program for their continual care and support.

The family wishes to encourage anybody who would like to make a donation in Paul's name to do so to The American Cancer Society.
