Paul's obituary
Paul Gene Bunderson
January 29, 1969-December 7, 2025
Paul Gene Bunerson, 55, of Denver, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly of cardiac arrest on December 7, 2025.
He was born in Brigham city, Utah on December 29, 1969, to Gene E. Bunderson and Christy J. Jensen. Paul was the oldest child in the family and had two sisters, April and Tonie. Paul was always very kind, loving and protective of his younger sisters.
Paul married the love of his life Leah Marie Olsen (Bunderson) in 2003, in Helena Montana and they departed in 2016.
Paul lived in many places including Utah, Montana, California and Colorado. He was a bird that could never be caged. He never liked to stay in one place for too long.
Paul leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, shenanigans and determined spirit. He was blessed with the rare ability of an amazing storyteller and quick wit. If you ever had the opportunity to be part of his world, love, life and stories, you would always walk away wondering if the stories he told were fiction or non-fiction.
Paul never had much regarding possessions but would be the first to give you anything he had if you needed it. Even when he fell into hard times, he would be the first to ask someone how they were doing and if they felt safe. For those who knew him we will forever be remembered for his spirit, pride and huge heart.
Paul struggled with mental illness and faced many hard challenges that many of us would not be able to endure. He leaves behind family and friends that deeply loved him, all that knew him have been inspired by his resilience.
Paul is survived by his wife, Leah Bunderson, his sisters Tonie Sanchez (John), April Campbell (Samuel); His niece and nephews: Sophia, Austin, Stephan, Jayden Sanchez and Aiden, Darwin; As well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family has chosen to do a celebration of life at a later date, to allow all that loved him to be present in remembering.
