Patty's obituary

Patty Libby went home to Jesus on April 14, 2024 at age 68.


Patty was born to Shelvin and Gladys Syverson (Tatley) on June 28, 1955 in St. Paul, MN. Patty met her husband Arthur in February 1988 and married on May 5, 1989 .  Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Proceeded in death by her father Shelvin Syverson.  She is survived by husband Arthur, son Ellis (Victoria) Libby,  granddaughters Aubrey and Hailey Libby, mother Gladys Syverson, sister Susan (Dwight) Denyes, brothers John (Cheryl) Syverson, Dale (Cynthia) Syverson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patty cherished her roles as a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and grandmother, finding profound joy and fulfillment in each of these precious relationships. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Patty's unwavering zest for life and her genuine affection for people left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her. 

Her infectious laughter and boundless enthusiasm illuminated every room she entered, instantly making others feel at ease and cherished. Patty's genuine interest in people knew no bounds; she had an uncanny ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life, forming deep and lasting friendships wherever she went.

Patty's passion for life was evident in everything she did. Whether she was exploring new places, she never turned down an adventure, or simply enjoying the company of loved ones, she approached each moment with a sense of humor and appreciation. 

A true social butterfly, Patty thrived in the company of others. Her genuine interest in people, coupled with her innate ability to make everyone feel valued and heard, made her a cherished friend to many. Whether she was hosting lively gatherings at her home or simply sharing a cup of coffee, Patty's warmth and kindness left an enduring impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
