Neice Patty was. My best friend.  Visited each other often as families !!💕🙏😇. HugsfromGod. & Aunt Gloria
It's hard to believe you've been gone a year now.  You bounce around in my memories with your smile and you sweet voice that sounded like it was being carried by the wind... lifting and soaring in your joy, becoming like a soft whisper in sadness.  You are missed here, but we know you are with Our Savior and King of Kings!  Praising God for the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, knowing we will sing praises once again when we join together at His throne!
I first met Patty where she worked at a Racquetball club in the early 80"s. Me, Jim Carlson, and Brian Varner all quickly became close friends with Patty, which lasted all these years. Her obituary was exactly how we knew her. Patty was full of life and laughter, always so fun and entertaining. She had a heart of gold, always concerned how we and our families were doing. Her positive attitude and Her faith in God were so evident which she lived by. I remember seeing her on the TV show Twin Cities Live, about people who meet and get married through the want ads. She knew on her first date with Art, 5 hrs., that she would marry him. She adored Art. She was also so proud of Ellis and his family. Patty was a Dear Friend and will Forever be Loved and Missed. I admired the way she fought cancer. We sat by her at Lousinda’s funeral and had a wonderful conversation.  Prayers for your family.

Patty was a magnificent person and will be sorely missed. She was such a great person and friend. I can’t say enough good about her. She was my personal attendant at my wedding and she loaned me her gorgeous wedding dress to wear at my wedding. — with Andrea Ruhland

Dear Arthur, Ellis, Victoria, Aubrey and Hailey,

We were lucky to meet Patty when we were in Minneapolis last year. At the wedding from Vanessa and Matthijs and at Victoria 's and Ellis' house. And remember her as a charming warm and kind person.  We are so sorry for your loss and wish you a lot of strength. Love Denise, Remko and Femke

Spending time playing cards and other board games almost every weekend in high school were some of the best memories of my life.  Her warmth and humor were what truly made her one of my favorite people in my life.  You will be missed Patty!

My condolences to Patty's family. I first met Patty when [I. became a Bunco sister.  I was instantly drawn to Patty because of her laughter, strength, wisdom and positive attitude. I would often [try and learn from her asking her a zillion questions. She would offer a different perspective and saying why she felt that way  The last time we talked I asked her how she and Art met, which led to a general talk about husbands of which she said I am the lucky one because Art is most definitely a keeper and I get to keep him!

Art and Ellis, I am so sorry for your loss. Patty was loved and will be missed by many but know that her legacy will live on.

How can I tell you how I loved Patty! This was easy! She was such a kind friend! We went to Bogota, Columbia, with Art, Patty and Ellis when Ellis was only 8 years old. She moved close to us where we would take walks together and have coffee, lunch and tons of laughs.

When I went thru breast cancer 21 years ago, she was my biggest cheerleader and encourager. She made me laugh when I was down. There are SOOO many stories I could tell and none of them was sad or angry or bitter. She lived like Jesus - with loads of love and care for others. I will miss you so much, my dear friend! Into Jesus arms you rest now. Free of pain. I love you, Patty!
