Pattie's obituary
Pattie Ruth "Pat" Bain, born Pattie Ruth Stephens on December 2, 1939, in Carrollton, Alabama, passed away on February 14, 2026, in Crestview, Florida. Her life was marked by a deep appreciation for family and the beauty of the world around her.
Pat was the cherished daughter of Mary and Benjamin Stephens. She grew up in Alabama alongside her siblings Henry and Charles (affectionately known as Bubba), as well as her sisters Allene and Ethel Katrine (Kate), all of whom preceded her in death. The bonds she shared with her family shaped her early years and remained a source of strength throughout her life.
Pat’s journey led her from the rolling hills of Alabama to the sunlit shores of Florida. She found joy in simple pleasures and creative pursuits. Among her favorite pastimes was spending time on the beach, where she found inspiration for her art. Pat was an accomplished painter who delighted in capturing scenic landscapes and heartfelt portraits.
Family was at the heart of Pat’s world. She is survived by her devoted son, James Bain Jr. Pat’s legacy continues through her beloved granddaughters—Victoria Bain, Jessica-Jade Bain-Reindl, and Starla Bain—and her grandson Chase Sparks. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Julian Ybos, Benjamin Bain, and Arrabella Bain, each of whom brought new joy to her later years.
Pat’s warmth extended beyond immediate family; she was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews who will remember her kindness and gentle spirit. Her home was often filled with laughter, stories, and the vibrant colors of both paintbrushes and personalities.
As those who knew Pat reflect on her life, they remember a woman whose presence brought comfort and inspiration. Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and the art she created.
May Pat Bain’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
