Patsy's obituary

Patsy E. Richards (69) of Antigo, WI, passed away on January 28, 2026. She was born on May 29, 1956, in Jefferson County, Kentucky to parents Geneva Geary Polley and Johnnie Duncan.

She will be remembered as having a vibrant personality and a generous heart. Known for her welcoming nature, she often shared hugs freely with both friends and strangers. Her affection extended to animals and treasured pet companions. An enjoyment of animals was furthered through her collection of bears, which brought her lasting happiness.

Joy was brought to those around through Patsy’s love of music and dancing and she was frequently found singing along and moving to the rhythm of favorite tunes. She found added fulfillment as a crafter, with talents that extended to crocheting and creating handmade gifts.

Patsy's joyful, spunky spirit and warmth leaves a lasting impression with those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all whose lives she touched.

Family remained central throughout Patsy’s life. She is survived by her brothers Ronnie Duncan, Rickie Duncan, Terry Aders, Russell Duncan, and James Dobson; and her sisters Theresa Aders, Janice Polley, Lisa Polley, and Dorothy Whitehead, as well as a son, a daughter, and two stepchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; mother; stepfather, Roger Polley; and sister Wanda Chupp.

The family would like to thank the care teams at Adava Care and Cherry Meadows for tending to Patsy with compassion during her final months.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Rolling Town Hall, W10394 County Rd G, Antigo, WI 54409.

In honor of Patsy's memory, a donation may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
