Patrina's obituary
Patrina "Tina" (Ferrari) Hargett beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother–in-law, and aunt was called home to God on May 23, 2024, at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Allan, her five children, Jerry (and wife, Dalia), Mary (and husband, Mark), RoseMarie (and husband, Tom), Maria, and Antonino (and wife, Lisa), her six grandchildren, Jason (and wife, Jeannette), Samantha, Sara, Ariz, Alexander, and Valentina, her five great-grandchildren, Jaxten, Jayleigh, Jazek, Jovie, and Jawson, and her nieces Lynne and Marie.
Tina was a native San Diegan born to Italian immigrants, James and Maria Ferrari. She was the youngest of five children. Her family owned a tuna fishing business and named one of their fishing vessels Patrini, based on their youngest daughter’s name. During her early years, Tina attended Our Lady of Peace (OLP) when it was a boarding school and later graduated from San Diego High School. After graduation, she worked in the service industry for over 30 years. Tina dedicated her life to her family, her faith, cooking, helping others, and her love for animals. Her memory lives on through the many lives she touched.
A funeral mass will be held in Tina's honor on June 24th, 2024, at 11am at San Rafael Parish in Rancho Bernardo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Tina's honor to the following organizations: Radiant Hospice (radianthospice.com) or Helen Woodward Animal Center (https://animalcenter.org)
