He grew up alongside his older sister Colleen and younger brother Guy on a sprawling farm in Littleton, CO.
He graduated from Littleton High School in 1970, where he excelled at football and track. For several years, he held the school record for the fastest time in the 100 meters. Many of his greatest, lifelong friendships were formed during these years.
After a brief stint playing college football, he transitioned to rugby and played a pivotal role in establishing the Littleton Rugby Club in 1977.
In the 1980s, he owned and raced thoroughbreds, primarily at Centennial Race Track in Colorado, but also at tracks in Arizona and California.
His father owned Home Lumber in Littleton, CO for decades. It’s while working for his father that he got his interest in the construction business and he would eventually start a successful painting company in Denver.
After a decade living in downtown Denver, in 2017, seeking a change of pace, he moved to the western slope of Colorado.
He is survived by his two adult daughters, Devon Reifsneider (Case Barnes) of Denver and Daren Reifsneider of Los Angeles, his partner Jennifer Weber of Montrose, CO, brother Guy Reifsneider of Tucson, AZ, brother-in-law Bob (Colleen) Denny of Austin, TX, his beloved black lab Tesa, and many more family and friends who made his life so full.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, sister Colleen, and brother-in-law Arthur Moxon.
