A smile, and a kind word always go a long way. Pep, your daddy's smile and chuckle, along with his kind words and pleasant , effervescent countenance always made my day when we met and talked either before or after mass in the sanctuary or in the parking lo at church. He will forever be embedded in my heart as my slightly older, male, parishioner/friend at ST Thomas. Our conversations, though not frequent, were always heart-warming for me regardless of what we talked about. I remember how he fussed that the DMV didn't think that he should still drive and I assured him that it was okay because they, and everyone else wanted him to be safe. May God bless him as he rests in his heavenly home, in peace. I truly hope that you, your mom and Leonard will find the strength to go on without him, knowing that God took him home in the best possible manner, and that he is in the best possible place. I am so glad that he had what most people dream and wish for: a happy death, and a peaceful transition to be in the company of his Lord and Savior. Please accept our family's deepest condolences, and know that you are all in our prayers. May God bless you all and cover you under his protective and loving mantle in this your time of grief. This (difficult time) too shall pass, eventually, with time. May our love and prayers hold you up and give you the confidence that all will be well because God is in charge and he always knows best, though we may not see or understand, why. Peace, love, & prayers.
Although no words can really help to ease the loss, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. Love you guys so much

Ashley
Gladys, Leo and Perpetua, we want to send you our condolences on the sudden death of you beloved husband and father. We are also heartbroken and sad that we were not able to say goodbye. We will miss seeing Mr. Patrick in the rear pews at St. Thomas the Apostle on Sundays, but we will cherish the memories of spending time talking with him after Mass. He was always smiling and ready to share his greetings with our family. Our entire family wishes we could just be there to hold and comfort you all. May God bring you peace as you remember all the wonderful memories, and know that he is resting in heaven. God bless you. We love you, Pat &Willie Johnson, William Johnson, Ariel &Deshawn (Amiyah & Royal)Nixon and Mother Ambrosia Arzu.
