UPDATE: We've chosen to host this meetup at my (Rachel's) house on Vashon Island. Dad loved to look out at the water, and I can still see him clearly in my mind standing over the beach. He also loved to watch airplanes take off and land, and while we won't be as close to Boeing Field as he would be, folks are welcome to sit on our garage (ground level) and watch the planes take off and land.

Parking is not ideal- so we suggest carpooling for those who can, and when you arrive park on the beach on Quartermaster Dr (follow directions to 8208 SW Quartermaster Drive- we share a driveway with this home and it is often easiest to walk up the driveway to the house).

This will not be a formal service or memorial, but more like a wake - a gathering to meet each other, share stories, and share in our grief and in doing so, heal.

Please bring a dish - nothing big or fancy, and we'll have a potluck lunch. We respectfully ask that there be no alcohol at this event.
