These are the things I remember about Patrick, from growing up in a small town.
I remember playing golf at Hillcrest. Especially at dusk, after golf practice was over, we would play a few more holes. Or in the summertime, there were kids there playing late. I played golf while the sun was setting a few weeks ago, and I thought of Patrick.
I remember sports teams. Football games and basketball games. Patrick was very social and always around friends.
I remember swimming at the Mount Vernon Pool every day all summer. And swimming at Lake McBride with classmates.
Patrick will be missed and I am so sad for his loss.
Sincerely,

I send my condolences, hugs, & love to mama-Kay and the family. I'm not sure how to find the correct words to comfort you all or be able to share the hurt I feel. My heart continues to break daily. A wise person encouraged me not to move on... but to move forward. Every step I take has a 50 pound weight attached to it but I continue to move forward. Yes, the thought of meeting my husband comes every waking moment but I cannot allow the enemy/Satan to play with my mind. I have to live until it's my turn to go but it's a mental struggle every day.
My husband brought so much laughter to the world. He really enjoyed being in the water. He gave his time & energy to so many humans. He worshipped God with his heart. He was genuine. He was my king. He spoke with wisdom & certainty. He put his step-daughter & me first before his sports and I never had to ask or plead. He enjoyed serving people. He volunteered to serve at the church & made the kiddos snacks & treats for the AWANA. He led his home to God & made sure everyone was okay every chance he had. No matter how he left the land of the living, I know without a doubt that he loved God & he just wanted to bring happiness to people's lives. He will be missed but not forgotten.
