I can’t find the latest set of Pictures, but Rita fixed Pat a cake with as many candles as we could afford! Pat was OUR friend and Rita would “get back at him” with the best of us! We had started making plans on where he was going to live by then!
Condolences to the family from a longtime friend
I know how much Pat loved the Georgia Bulldogs and had wanted to go to UGA, but he just got side tracked. It just seems so fitting that his ashes were able to to spread at Sanford Field. I will be thinking of him today and hope he is at peace.💕

I met Pat working at Wachovia. He was kind, smart, funny and just an all around great guy. I’m so sorry to hear that Pat passed away. I know how much he will be missed. Praying for his family ❤️
Pat was my friend. He was actually more than a friend. He was my pal. We would communicate a lot! He had just been here to visit Rita and I. As a matter of fact we have some of his clothes in drawers an hung in his closet so he wouldn’t have to move so many here when he moved to the area. We had been out looking at areas for him to move. He had kinda decided on an ocean front condo. He wanted two bedrooms minimum so “his boys” (including Mason) and their families so they would have have a place to spend the night when they came. He was so looking forward to Mason and more grandkids in the future! I was looking forward to us visiting each other!

With our deepest sympathy to hear of the passing of this wonderful man.

We worked out together at Golds Gym and he was missed so much when he left to take care of his Mother.

We kept in touch then FB.

He was so devoted to his Mother and said on many occasions it is so hard being a caregiver.

Pat we really missed you so much at the gym and now thru FB.

Rest In Peace our dear friend.

Pat and I worked together at George Shinn & Associates in 1979.  We remained good friends since. I have missed him since he left Mt Pleasant. Pat was one of the most honorable gentlemen I have ever known. My heart is broken. I am so sorry he didn’t get to see his grandson grow up. He was so proud of Andy and Scott. Rest In Peace dear Pat
Today would have been my brother, Pat (Rick) Cave's 73rd Birthday.  He was my "Big Brother" for all of my life. We shared memories only brother's can share.  At an early time in his life he took on family responsibilities adding financial support during some rough times, sometimes working two jobs.  He served his Country during the Viet Nam era. Upon his return he worked hard to get his college degree.  He loved to take on a challenge.  He worked several jobs, training others to take his place and then move to another challenge.   His greatest joy was the birth of Scott and Andy.  He made it a priority to be there for both of you, and he took great pride in the men you have become.  Next was his grandson, who he talked  about alot.  He again took on family responsibilities by caring for our Mother during her declining time until her recent death. He and I were able to be there together during this time.  I will always remember the last thing we said to each other was "I love you brother".   HAPPY BIRTHDAY. You will be missed always.

Pat the Controller at Davidso…
Pat the Controller at Davidson Cotton Company in 2001. He was a great mentor and friend. He will be missed! The Cave family is in my prayers.
My deepest sympathies to the entire Cave family.  Pat was a true friend to me for many years,  he had so many of those good traits that are so hard to find in people these days that you ended up just wanting to spend more time around him.  He was always upbeat, positive, kind and willing to listen and share his time.  His legacy will live on in each of you and he will always watch over you!
My heart is broken at the news of the loss of this wonderful man.  He has always been in my heart and I cannot even imagine your pain.  So sorry for your loss
My heart goes out to Scott and his family, Andy and Megan.  Just from what I have learned from my daughter, Megan, Andy's dad loved her like his own.  I am so sorry I did not get to meet Pat, but I know he will be truly loved by everyone.  Prayers and hugs to Scott and Andy, you had one very special dad for sure.  I am so sorry for your loss.

You are so loved❤️

Heaven must be rocking with you and Buddy together again. Your smile lit up every room you were in. Will Miss you Pat❤️

My sincere and heartfelt condolence to Scott, Andy and the loved ones of the Cave Family at Pat’s passing.  Pat was my dearest friend that I admired for his intelligence, quick wittiness, strong and determined personality,  being a loyal veteran serving in Vietnam, straightforward political views; however, mostly the love for his two sons and his strong Christian faith.  He was well known at Gold’s Gym (Harrisburg,NC) where he met and developed longtime friendships.  Pat will truly be missed.  I’ll always treasure him as the very best friend I’ve ever had in life.  He has taken a part of my heart with him.

Pat was an awesome guy. I knew him from Gold’s Gym Harrisburg. We shared many laughs and great conversations there. Prayers to all family and friends🙏🏼
Pat was a good friend for a number of years when we worked out together at Gold's Gym in Harrisburg. He and others joined us to watch the Army-Navy football game in our home in about 2015 or 16.  He was a loyal veteran and a wonderful man.  We miss him dearly and offer our prayers and condolences to his loved ones.
Still reeling from loss of Aunt Norma, and now Cousin Rick -- very painful times. Incredibly sharp and witty man, he'll be missed. Thinking of all the Caves -- love from the NYC Summerlins
