Patrick "Paddy" Andrew Moran, 78, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.

He was born on September 30, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY to the late John "Jack" and Mary Coll Moran. Mr. Moran was a proud Vietnam veteran serving in the US Navy. He was very patriotic and proud to serve his country. He was a steamfitter; a member of Steamfitters Local 638 New York City, NY for over 50 years. Mr. Moran was also proud of his Brookyn, New York heritage but also embraced his new friends for the last 15 years in North Carolina. He loved all of his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Francis Moran, Peter Moran; and two infant sisters.

He is survived by his wife of almost 41 years, Carol Ann Melamedorf Moran; children, Timothy Moran, Kerry Rigby (Richard), John F. Moriarty, III; grandchildren, Caitlin Zubrowski (Daniel), Brian Rigby; great granddaughter, Haley Zubrowski; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
