Patricio's obituary
It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Patricio Moises Bonoan, who departed this life on September 25, 2025, at the age of 80.
A man of strength and conviction, our papa lived a life deeply rooted in the values he held dear—and, more importantly, embodied every single day. He taught us the true meaning of family support: present and ready to lend a hand, no matter what challenges life brought.
He raised us with unwavering moral and work ethics, showing by example that true character is built through responsibility, action, and integrity. Under his steady guidance, we learned perseverance, the courage to face adversity, and the independence to rise with dignity and resilience.
At the same time, Pop brought a lightness to our lives that made hard times easier and joyful moments even sweeter. With his quirky humor, easy demeanor, and playful spirit, he had a way of making others feel instantly at ease. He could break tension with a joke and had an uncanny ability to find humor in the everyday. His laughter was boisterous, his wit unexpected, and his presence impossible to forget.
More than anything, Poppa taught us the power of emotional support—the importance of being there for one another with kindness, empathy, and unconditional love. His presence was not just comforting—it was deeply appreciated.
Pat was more than a father. He was our teacher, our role model, a well of wisdom, and our strongest supporter. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped, the values he instilled, and the love he gave so generously.
He is survived by his loving wife, Violeta; daughters MaryAnn and Tess; nephew Jojo; son-in-law Joe, and sisters Narcy and Lucy—all of whom carry his memory with enduring love and deep gratitude.
We will miss him dearly, but we are forever thankful for the foundation he laid for us—a life anchored in love, strength, humor, and compassion.
A celebration of his life will take place during the Prayers of the Faithful on Monday, October 6th at 8:00 AM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Union City. He will be laid to rest with his family in Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Violeta Bonoan.
