Patricia Ann “Patti” Yount, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, in Santa Clara, California, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old.

Patti was born on May 8, 1936, in Mount Vernon, Washington. From a young age, she had a deep sense of compassion and a calling to help others, which led her to a long and meaningful career as a social worker through the State of Washington. Her dedication, empathy, and unwavering commitment made a lasting difference in countless lives and communities.

Beyond her professional life, Patti’s greatest joy was her family. She lovingly adopted three children and built a home filled with warmth, acceptance, and laughter. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to fifteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless happiness and pride.

Patti will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the deep love she shared with everyone she met. Her sense of humor, wisdom, and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A private family celebration of Patti’s life will be held at a later date in both California and her beloved Washington State.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local children’s charity or social service organization in Patti’s honor—continuing her lifelong legacy of helping others.

Forever loved and deeply missed, Patti’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
