Patricia Ann Valdovinos (née McBain), age 78, passed away surrounded in love on September 25, 2025, in Carmichael, California. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and educator, Patricia touched countless lives with her warmth, creativity, and unwavering compassion.

Born on May 14, 1947, in Sacramento, California, Patricia spent her early years in Northern California. She attended McClatchy High School and Elk Grove High School. Her love for learning and exploration led her to study art at La Universidad de las Americas in Mexico—an experience that deepened her lifelong connection to the country’s language and culture.

Patricia dedicated much of her professional life to education. As a home school counselor at Natomas Charter School, she supported children and their families with empathy and insight. Her passion for teaching extended beyond counseling; she also taught Spanish, art, and music—subjects that reflected her own diverse talents and interests.

Patricia expressed herself through drawing, painting, and needlepoint. Her work radiated the same gentleness and beauty that defined her character.

Patricia had an adventurous spirit in her youth and cherished traveling—especially to Mexico. She often recalled art filled summers with her mother and sister in Guerneville, joyful days with her grandparents in Lake Tahoe, and meaningful travels with her father.

Above all else, Patricia was known for her kind heart. She was gentle yet strong—a natural caregiver who always placed others before herself. Her love for family was boundless. She found immense joy in being a grandmother and took great pride in nurturing those around her.

She is survived by her husband Jesus Valdovinos; son Jesus Valdovinos; daughter Elizabeth Valdovinos; beloved grandson Hayden Fejarang; and son-in-law Gerald Fejarang.

Patricia was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Leigh McBain; mother Carole Jeanne Brewer; and father James Winston McBain.
