Patricia's obituary

Patricia "Patsy" Souder, affectionately known to many as Patsy, departed this world on December 16, 2023, leaving a legacy of generosity, dedication, and commitment. Born on April 6, 1949, Patricia lived a life marked by a witty, intelligent, and determined character. A firm believer in independence, she consistently looked out for her friends and family, and her spirit was inculcated with the philosophy of never giving up.

Patricia was an ardent follower of Catholicism and found great peace and solace in her place of worship. Her love for her family, friends, and church were the causes closest to her heart. Throughout her life, she found joy in simple pleasures, like indulging in her favorite Italian food, enjoying a cold Coca-Cola, and finding comfort in the music of Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, and John Denver.

Patricia had a keen interest in watching movies and listening to sermon illustrations. She found companionship and contentment with her dog Charles, who was her constant companion in her last years. Her favorite color was pink, a hue that reflected her personality beautifully.

Patricia was a caring daughter to the late Walter and Eileen langolf, a compassionate sister to Mary Milewski; her brother Walter Langolf and his wife Francine Langolf. Patsy was a loving wife to the late Jesse Souder, and former spouse to the late Donald Ceska, was survived by her son Darrin Ceska and his wife Maria Ceska, and her son Raymond Souder; her granddaughters Cel’Andrea Zarazua, Endora Wilson-Souder, Shylia Minnoch, Ailani Wilson-Souder, Carlie Ceska, and Ever Wilson; her grandsons Jerrin Weaver, Dominic Carver and Michael Wilson.

A funeral service for Patricia will be held on December 21, 2023, at 9:30 AM at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. Patricia’s life was marked by her love for her family, her commitment to her church, and her enduring spirit of generosity.

Her legacy remains in the hearts of her friends and family, whom she cared for deeply. Her joy, wisdom, and resilience will be greatly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
