Patricia (Patti) Lynne (Shields) Mitchell, 50, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Patti was born to Marvin (Dale) and Kathleen Shields on June 8, 1972, she was the mother to Seana (Mitchell) Moriarty, and a grandmother to Paisleigh and Abel Moriarty. Patti attended Sanders Elementary and graduated from Bloomington High School South. Over the years since graduating she had careers at the Monroe County Public Library and Monroe Hospital. Patti was a ten year member with the Monroe county 4-H club and was a member of the Vaqueros Horse and Pony 4-H club for eight years. She is survived by her mother, Kathy Shields of Bloomington; daughter Seana (Desmin) Moriarty and their two children of Bloomington; her sisters, Amy (Kevin) Merriman and Kim Ramsey; niece McKenzie (Jerimis) Wampler and their daughter Nyilea; nephew Bryce Roudebush; as well as multiple nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Patti was preceded in death by her grandmother Aola Deckard, father, Marvin (Dale) Shields, brother Ronald Shields and nephew Abraham Roudebush. A pitch-in style lunch celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 27th, 2022 at the Harrodsburg Community Center (1002 W Popcorn Rd Bloomington, IN 47403) from 11-5pm.
