Patricia Ann Scott-Anders, departed from her earthly home to glory on Wednesday August 25,2021 at the age of 62. She was born August 31, 1958 to the late Lee and Willie Mae Bates-Scott in New Orleans, LA.

Patricia “Pat”, as she was affectionately known, was educated in the New Orleans School system and was a graduated of McDonogh #35 (class of ’76) and Xavier University (class of ‘80) in New Orleans, LA.

Patricia was a born-again believer. At an early age, Patricia accepted, confessed and acknowledged that Jesus Christ was Lord of her life. She was a very faithful and devoted member of Greater St. Stephens, in New Orleans, LA. After Hurricane Katrina, Patricia relocated to Georgia and joined Grace Community Christian Church in Kennesaw, GA under the leadership of Pastor Chappell.

On August 25, 2021, God called Pat from labor to reward. The Lord decided Pat had suffered enough and sent His Angels to peacefully take her home. We do not know as much as we would like, but it is enough to know that eternity with God will be more wonderful that we can imagine.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; 3 brothers: Roger Scott, Jerry Scott and Robert Thompson; 3 sisters: Myrtis Thompson, Mary Nichols, and Virginia Ferguson; and a nephew Harold Bing.

Pat leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Christan (Corey) Woods of San Antonio, TX and Tiffani Scott of Acworth, GA, who she loved deeply. Two grandsons: Corey Woods, Jr. and Christopher Woods; Five brothers: Dennis Scott, Mizell Scott, Gary Jones all of New Orleans, LA; Ike Scott of St Johns, FL and Larry Scott of Houston, TX. Four sisters: Brigida Reid and Shannon Chase of New Orleans, LA; Bertha Reed of Pensacola, FL and Vounder Reynolds of Alpharetta, GA. Stepmother: Althea Scott of New Orleans, LA; A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to the memorial service at True Vine Church 2008 Marigny St., New Orleans, LA 70117 on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10:00am. The repast will immediately follow at Celebration Hall 1701 St. Bernard Ave., New Orleans, LA 70116. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks are encouraged at the services.
