Patricia's obituary
Patricia "Pat" Petersen, a devoted and beloved wife of 50 years, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023, at the age of 84. Born on April 5, 1938, in Chicago, IL, Patricia was known for her loving, caring, and determined nature. She was a problem solver, strong-headed, and fiercely proud of her family.
A graduate of Lockport Township High School Central Campus in 1956, Patricia went on to lead a varied and fulfilling professional life. Patricia served her community as a Health Department worker, an Event Coordinator, and as President of her local Homeowners Association. Through these roles, Patricia made a significant impact on the lives of those around her.
Patricia's hobbies included spending quality time with her family, playing cards and games, and enjoying the beauty of sunsets. Her passion for life and love for her family shone through in everything she did, and she relished every moment she spent with them.
Patricia is precedded in death by her Mother Clarice Boe and her Father Willam Boe as well as her daughter Tana Anderson. She is survived by her loving family; Husband; Bob Petersen, Daughters; Beth Pride (Luthor), Dawn Laczynski( Kenny) Trudie Petersen, Sylvia Rudolf(Herman); granddaughters, Kara Anderson, Zoe Pride, Lacey Pride, Payton Laczynski, and Sophie Rudolf. Grandsons; Josh Pride, Tanner Laczynski, Hayden Laczynski. As well as 7 great grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love, determination, and pride in family. Patricia's memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and the immeasurable love she shared with those around her.
A private celebration of Patricia's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Patricia's name to an ALS Charity on behalf of her daughter Tana Anderson who passed from this horrible disease. As we remember the life of Patricia "Pat" Petersen, let us honor her memory by cherishing our loved ones and embracing the beauty in each day.
