Patricia “Pat” Davis, 84, passed away on January 9, 2019 in Fleming Island, Florida. Pat was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on February 2, 1934 to Charles and Anna Taylor. She married Richard “Dick” Davis in Knoxville on March 24, 1956. They moved to Gainesville, Florida in 1966 when Dick became the assistant coach for the University of Florida basketball team.

In 1978, she herself began working for the University Athletic Association in the University’s golf shop. She worked there 36 years, retiring at the age of 80, and continued to volunteer there when needed. Known as “Miss Pat,” she was an away-from-home mom to many of the kids on the golf team, and befriended those who came to play on a regular basis. Her positive attitude, strength, and sincerity will be greatly missed by all.

Pat is survived by her sister Othella Coile, daughter April Pearson, son-in-law Rick, and grandchildren Ben Pearson (wife Amy), and Rebecca Miller (husband Frank).

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19th at 2:00pm, with visitation commencing at 1:00pm. Both will take place at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, Florida.
