Patricia's obituary
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia Hite, who left us on August 10, 2024. Born on September 21, 1947, Patricia lived a life of generosity, intelligence, and dedication to the causes she held near and dear to her heart.
Patricia is survived by her beloved grandson, Logan Hite, who held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her cherished husband, William Claude Hite, whom she held in loving memory.
Patricia was known for her dedication to the Hoodsport Food Bank, where she volunteered countless hours. She was passionate about alternative medicine, ever intrigued by the advancements and discoveries in the field. A lover of all things gourmet and healthful, Patricia was also fond of sparkling mineral water, an indulgence she often enjoyed.
Patricia had an insatiable thirst for knowledge, a trait demonstrated by her extensive collection of books. She appreciated the artistry of various musicians, with Django Reinhold, Lilith Fair, and the Grateful Dead among her favorites. A great lover of live performances, Patricia often spent evenings at live music events and theatre shows.
In her downtime, Patricia found solace in walking in nature and spending time with her much-loved companion, Cleo. Always ready to try something new, she was a keen participant in various forms of exercise. With a color preference for different shades of green, Patricia’s personality mirrored the serenity and tranquility often associated with the hue.
Patricia had a love for travelling and had extensively explored the United States. Locally, she enjoyed visiting the Olympia Farmer's Market, a place she held in high regard. Patricia will be remembered for her intelligence, dedication to her chosen causes, and her contribution to her community through her volunteering efforts.
