Patricia's obituary

Patricia Ann Montesano was born November 11th 1969 and passed away on November 23rd 2022 just past the age of fifty-three. She had a long fight with cancer, but a quick and sudden passing. She was a New Yorker and born at South Shore Hospital, and spent her youth in Bohemia, NY. She moved to Seminole, FL as a teenager in 1984 and spent the rest of her life in Largo and Seminole.

She was predeceased by her father, Maurice Montesano. She was survived by her mother Deborah Montesano, her brothers James and Robert Montesano, her nieces and nephew, and her son Daryl Thomas Gilbert.

She was an entrepreneur who supported herself with her own businesses in arts and crafts and gardening. Her passions ranged from painting, gardening, cooking, and caring for her cats. She had an encyclopedic knowledge of her favorite shows, retro throwback facts, and current events. She was the life of the party and one of the funniest people around.

Her impact on countless lives was clear through her short years on this planet. She loved cats and candy and all the sweet and fluffy things in life. She was a fierce advocate for what she believed was right and stood up to anyone or anything to ensure they knew the truth. She enjoyed spending time expanding her mind with interesting information online.

She was a determined single mother who sacrificed so much to raise her son. She bought and secured her own house on her own despite all the odds stacked against her.

Some of her favorite memories was on the beach with her friends and son. She loved to sit by the shore under the warm summer sun.

She asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her name to Saint Jude’s to care for the children that are suffering with this terrible disease. Please see the Give tab for more information.
