Patricia's obituary
Patricia Sue Marshall, age 70, of Ferris, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, Apr 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born April 3, 1952, in Amarillo, Texas to Duane Benshoof and Betty Lou Enochs. She was a 1970 graduate of Lewisville High School in Lewisville, Texas. She married Donald Marshall on May 26, 1973, and settled in Ellis County. The small farmhouse in Trumbull where she and Don made a home was the center of her most cherished memories.
Pat was a devoted wife and mother. She found her greatest joy in taking care of her home and family, driving her daughters to lessons and activities, and even helping to lead a Brownie troop. Pat found a church home at what was then known as First Southern Baptist Church of Ferris where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years.
Pat was an avid reader who especially enjoyed mysteries and thrillers later in life. She loved road trips with her husband and could often be found perusing the shelves of small-town antique shops along the backroads of Texas. Crafting, sewing, and shopping were some of her favorite hobbies. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Pat is survived by her husband, Don, her daughters, Melissa Everhart and husband, Michael, and Emily Lamm and husband Christopher, grandchildren Ella, Jackson, Abigail, and Hudson, brothers-in-law, John Marshall, Ron Marshall and wife, Becky, and siblings Mary Kay Harkins, Janice Couch, Susan Hendrix, Theresa Schramm, Debbie Houseman, Russell Behrens, Roger Behrens, and Martin Benshoof.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Benshoof.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Pat’s life at Ferris Baptist Fellowship in Ferris, Texas on April 30, 2022, at 11 am with Bro. Darrel Beggs officiating.
