Tricia's obituary
In Loving Memory of Patricia Harris
Tricia Harris, age 69, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025 after a brave and graceful battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on February 13, 1956 in Washington, Missouri, Tricia lived her life with laughter in her heart and love in her actions. She was the kind of person who made friends wherever she went, always quick with a smile or a witty joke. She was the life of every room she entered. She spent her childhood in Washington, Missouri before moving to Kansas City, Missouri to start her own family.
She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend — a woman who gave endlessly to those she loved. Whether she was dancing to her favorite songs, cheering on her Kansas City Chiefs, or hosting a pool party, she did it all with joy and a deep appreciation for the little moments that made life beautiful. More than anything she loved being a Mimi to her grandchildren, spending time in her garden, and visiting the beach.
Tricia is survived by daughters, Julie, Jaclyn(Jaryd) and Ellen(Alex); grandchildren Abbey, Audrey, Cecelia, Blake, Barrett, Henry, Phillip, and Thomas; siblings Tom(Sandy), Charlotte(Joe), Mark(Audrey), Michael(Cheryl), Dennis(Theresa), Mary Caye(Bill), and James(Mary Lee); and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry forward her legacy of kindness, humor, and strength.
A celebration of her life will be held in Roswell Friday May 16 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at 10 am. A second celebration will be held in Washington, Missouri on Saturday May 31 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you plant something in your garden to honor Tricia or make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
Her light, love, and laughter will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
