Patricia "Patty, Pat" (Powers) Mahon, 72, of Homosassa Springs, FL, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2022. Pat was born on September 1,1949 in Auburn, NY, one of 16 children born to William Edward Powers and Victoria Mary Fronczek.
A 1968 graduate of Moravia Central School, Pat spent the next 20+ years on the West Coast, as a top-notch sales leader in the California car business, enjoyed home projects, entertaining and spent time doting on her beloved family especially her nieces and nephews. Eventually settling to Central Florida in 1990, Pat met the love of her life and enjoyed living on the river, boating, fishing, home projects, gardening and spending time with family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Carl Mahon, daughter Amy and Granddaughter Elizabeth and a host of godchildren.
Also survived by siblings : Shirley (Ray) Slayton, Susan (John) Pusloskie, and Linda Lee, Robert (Joanne) Powers, A. Charles Powers, Michael (Maria) Powers, Paul Powers, George Powers, and Ronald (Denise) Powers; Brother-in-law James Frost, Sister-in-laws Jean (Hall) Powers, Pamela Powers, Joy (Hatfield) Powers and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pat is predeceased by her parents and siblings: William Powers, John Powers, Thomas Powers, Margaret Powers, Winifred Frost (Powers), and Donald Powers; Brother-in-law Ronald Lee, Sister-in-laws Patricia (Murphy) Powers, and Betty (Miller) Powers
Patty had a generous heart of gold and will be missed by all she called family and friends. Even with such a large family and coasts divided, Patricia had a knack of keeping everyone connected. She dedicated herself to making everyone feel special with her weekly phone calls, fun-loving greeting cards and visits.
Though Pat's roots were deeply bound in East Coast soil, her remains will be scattered in California where her soul soared freely.
