It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a cherished soul, Patricia "Pat" Mahaffey, who peacefully left us on May 9, 2025. Born on May 3, 1940, to Julia and Alex Sipos, Pat was the diamond in the rough who shined through her witty personality and love for her family. Although her brother, Bob Sipos, her devoted husband Bruce Mahaffey, whom she married in 1988, and her adored son Jeffrey Perhot, predeceased Pat, her luminous spirit lives on.

Pat was a woman of strength and resilience, moving from Ohio to Longview, TX in 1973, embodying her bold and adventurous spirit. Her life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and lessons passed down to her surviving loving family. She leaves behind her Son, James Perhot, Daughter, Kim Spencer, and an array of grandchildren - Bridget McElroy, Brandi Garrett, Jeffrey Perhot, Tiffany Perhot, Justin Spencer, and Alexis Spencer, who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Pat was known for her wit and her ability to bring a touch of laughter into everyone's life. Her teachings, words of wisdom and, most importantly, her ability to make us smile will never be forgotten. Her adoring family and friends will miss her comforting presence, but will take solace in the fact that her incredible journey has impacted and inspired many.

A memorial service to celebrate Pat's remarkable life will take place on May 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM at St Ann's Catholic Church. It will be a day to reminisce, grieve, and ultimately celebrate the extraordinary life of a woman who meant so much to many. All who knew and loved Pat are welcome to attend, to share stories and help keep her spirit alive.

Pat leaves a void that will be impossible to fill, but her memory will forever be a beacon of love, resilience, and strength to all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace.
