We are sending the Matthews family our warm condolences. Patty, or Mrs. Matthews as I grew up calling her on several baseball teams with Mike, was always such a kind and generous person, and always with a smile. In later years during college breaks, she never failed to ask me how I and my parents were doing, and was so nice to let me join Scott and Mike for the annual Matthews/Lowry Christmas party and play hearts with the family. Expressing my sympathy for your loss and gratitude for having known Mrs. Matthews over the years.

The beautiful pictures that are posted of Patty are so perfect.  I never saw her without that big, friendly smile during all the years we have been neighbors.  We often stopped and visited while on our separate ways, and it was always a joy.  Patty was an incredibly positive woman even when she was experiencing difficult situations.  She, and her smile, will definitely be missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Patty was such a wonderful friend.  She was so full of life, always positive, always smiling, so smart and so proud of her family.  She could solve any problem you had.  I remember the first time I met Patty, I  went to her house to tell her that her son was picking on my son at school.  patty invited me in we talked and laughed while we sipped wine.  Needless to say we become friends on that day and made many wonderful memories watching our sons grow up together.  She had a magic way of making you feel better if you were feeling down.  And her energy level was inspiring.  When I think of her I can still see that signature smile and hear her gentle laugh.  I know that her light will forever shine through her family that she loved so much.  Rest in peace Patty you are forever in our hearts.
