My mother passed away Thursday September 21,2023. I have attached the obituary but it won’t be updated on Park Lawn website until Monday. This was unexpected and happened so fast. I feel lost and empty without her but happy that she’s no longer in pain and in the presence of the Lord. ❤️🙏🏻 Janie Larsen, 73, passed away peacefully September 21, 2023, at her home with family at her side. Janie was born June 4th, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri to James and Maxie Irwin. She graduated from Oak Park High School. She worked as a CNA/Med tech at Independence Manor Nursing Home and Independence Regional Health Center. Janie enjoyed working outside, gardening, reading, crocheting, cooking, baking and being surrounded by family. She loved going to the lake each year, which brought so much joy to her life. Janie leaves behind her children Lorie Brigman, Bill Stone (Billy William) and Ashley Larsen. Grandchildren: Isaac Brigman, Kayla Brigman, Brodie Stone and Carly Stone. Siblings: Paula Irwin and Jimmy Irwin. Niece/Nephews: James Irwin, Jonathon Irwin, Joshua Irwin and Elizabeth Irwin. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Maxie Irwin as well as other Aunts and Uncles. Janie was very strong in her faith and loved the Lord with all her heart. Her favorite verse was Psalm 91. She is now in the presence of our King and Savior Jesus Christ.
