Patricia Lou "Pat" (Chapman) LaBranche, 84, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at Ridgecrest Healthcare in Phoenix, AZ. Pat was born on August 15, 1934 in Leeds, Kansas City, Missouri to Charles Wilbur & Opal Evelyn (McDowell) Chapman. Pat lived in the KC Metro Area for over 60 years. Pat graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, MO. Pat married Lawrence Alfred "Larry" LaBranche on April 14, 1956 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Pat & Larry also lived with their 3 kids in Sarasota, Florida in the early 1970s. Pat was married to Larry for 28 years until he passed away in 1985. Pat had such a kind and caring heart and soul, that the jobs she chose were those of helping others. She worked for the Kansas City School District as a bus monitor and teacher's aide. She also worked at several nursing homes in KC, doing housekeeping and laundry. Her favorite color was green and her favorite number was 3. She was 1 of 3 children, a mother of 3, grandmother of 3, she had 3 great grandsons, and all 3 of her kids and her husband's birthdays had 3s in them. Pat was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, & stepmother Viola Chapman; 2 brothers, Lauren Dale (Deane) & Robert V. "Bob" (Verna) Chapman; 2 nephews Mark "Rick" (Cindy) & Robert Dale Chapman. Pat is survived by her 2 sons, Bill (Cindy) & Kevin LaBranche; a daughter, Karen (Steve) Waynick; a granddaughter, Stacey LaBranche; 2 grandsons, Chris LaBranche & Steven Waynick; 3 great grandsons; a great granddaughter; 2 nephews, David & Chuck Chapman; and 2 nieces, Janet Chapman & Rebeccah Vinson.
