Tricia's obituary
Our beloved Patricia "Tricia" Zdanis Keef passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband and children on January 23, 2023 after a three year battle with lung cancer.
Tricia was born to Albert and Eloise Zdanis on September 20, 1953 in Montgomery, Alabama. When Tricia was younger, her favorite activities were riding her horse Ginger and spending weeks at their family cabin in the country. She attended Spring Hill College in Mobile for undergraduate school then earned a Masters degree in teaching at George Peabody College. After graduating, she moved to Tennessee and pursued a career following her passion of teaching.
In 1979 on Flag Day at a party in their apartment complex, Tricia met Michael, and they became a match truly made in heaven. Tricia & Michael went on to have two children, Matt Keef and Emily Keef Bach, and she cherished her role as Gramma to Emily's two children, Harriet and Eleanor Bach. Tricia was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved the church and continued to teach as a prominent member of St. Philip Catholic Church, then later she worked as the church's bookstore manager. Tricia joins her father, Al, and her mother, Eloise in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members including her husband, children, and grandchildren as mentioned, as well as her brother Mike Zdanis and his wife Lynn Zdanis and their daughter Elizabeth Zdanis, and her sister Karen Taylor.
A funeral mass will be held in loving memory and celebration of her life on Saturday, February 4th at 11:00 at St. Philip Catholic Church in Franklin.
