Pat's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia "Pat" Johnson, a beloved matriarch, on October 4, 2025. Born on January 4, 1941, Pat left an indelible mark on all who knew her through her strength, spirituality, and unwavering commitment to her family.
Pat was a staunch pillar in her community. She regularly attended the Celebration Church, where her soulful voice was part of the choir. She was also remembered for her delightful taste in food, particularly Fish and Shrimp. Pat was a passionate patron of the arts. Her favorite performances included Mama Mia, and she had a fondness for ABBA songs and Hallmark Movies. She often found solace in the romantic novels she loved and enjoyed her downtime playing Majong.
In addition to her multiple interests, Pat constantly reflected her vibrant personality as a strong, Godly woman. She preached strength during hard times and lived by these words. Her greatest accomplishment was her missionary service alongside her husband and children, an endeavor that she undertook with immense pride and dedication.
Pat's life was as full of love as it was long. She leaves behind a loving family: her daughters Patti Rigdon, Judi Buckley, Dana Kirkbride; her grandchildren Taylor Kirkbride, Tyler Jowaisas, Keeli Fricks, Hannah Bailey, Gabriel Rigdon, Jacob Rigdon, Joshua Rigdon, Amanda Rigdon, Amber Rigdon, Brett Rigdon. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Wade Johnson, her daughter, Alicia Johnson, and her grandson, Grant Kirkbride.
Pat's life and legacy will be honored at a burial service on October 25, 2025, at 5:30 PM at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery. In Pat's memory, all are encouraged to embody the resilience she exemplified throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
