Happy Birthday Grandma Hicks

If roses grow in Heaven Lord please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there is an ache within my heart that will never go away.

Patty was a wonderful person and a great neighbor and friend.  She will be missed greatly by all of us and our deepest condolences go to Kim and Scott and Kim's sisters and brother.

Dear Patty, Forever in our heart and on our mind, we will speak of you fondly, often.  Youthful and beautiful until the very end, age was but a number to you and you lived your life to the fullest, with grace, kindness, and dignity.  I am so grateful for your love and generosity over the years.  Thank you dear friend.  ♥️

Patty was a dear friend to me for 25 years. We shared the love of tennis, good food, and beach trips! When I think of Patty, I think of her beautiful smile and laugh! I will miss her dearly and feel so blessed to have known this beautiful lady❤️

One of my favorite Patty stories from my childhood was told to me by my mother, Georganna Warner. She and Patty have been friends since sharing a book on Patty’s first day at a new school in Alexandria, In.  They hit it off instantly and were lifelong friends. Years later both were married and new first time mothers. One night my mom was talking on the phone to Patty as my dad left for work. He was working  3rd shift (11pm - 7am) at a local factory. The next morning mom told Patty she had to hang up because dad was pulling in the driveway . They had talked all night long , over 8 hrs! I guess you could say they were never at a loss for words. Patty’s sweet smile and personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. 

Oh the laughter we had on and off the court! I think about the "good-eye" time which I think only you and I know but what a hoot! Gosh I will miss you! I will miss your warm heart, infectious smile and laugh.  My sincere condolences to your family. I will cherish my memories with you and I know you will live on in the hearts of many! Now go dance with Don!

I am so grateful to have called you my friend and sometimes even my tennis partner. I will miss you my friend but I know that you and Don are together again. Thanks for all the good times and laughter we had
