Patricia's obituary

Patricia “Beth” (Hale) Strode, 70, of Murfreesboro, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Phillip and Betty Sue Hale and beloved sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth Hale. She is survived by daughters Megan Anne Strode and Mary Beth Strode, grandson and “Her Captain” Miles Wilson Strode, siblings Amy Mathis, Mark Hale, and Tracy Knowles, nephews Jarrad Mathis and Lukas Knowles, and nieces Sarah Thomas, Jessica Pack, Sabrina Melton, and Clara Knowles.

Born in Woodbury, TN on December 21, 1954, she grew up on Pea Ridge in Liberty, TN. She attended college at Middle Tennessee State University, and later moved to Smyrna ,TN, then Bowling Green, KY. While in Bowling Green, she was a devoted “classroom mom” and served on the school’s PTO.

There are no words to adequately describe what she meant to her family. Beth could light up a room with her laughter and always was a warm and comforting presence. She was always there for her children and family, no matter what the circumstance, to listen and give advice and unconditional love. She was a great artist and creative when helping with different projects, a lover of all animals, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her love is forever solidified in the hearts of those who knew her, and her story will continue in the memories we share together. The family honored Beth's wishes to be cremated.  Please join family and friends for a celebration of life on Saturday, August 16, at the Fellowship Hall at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 430 Adamson Branch Rd, Liberty, TN, from 12:00-4:00pm.
