Patricia's obituary

Patricia “Pat” Gonzalez

August 16, 1955 – January 7, 2026

Patricia Gonzalez, lovingly known as Pat, was born to Ignacio Gonzalez and Dolores Leon on August 16, 1955, in Torrance, California, and passed away on January 7, 2026, in Lake Forest, California, at the age of 70. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and partner to her fiancé, Roger Pennington. Her life was marked by a deep and abiding love for her family.

She is survived by her children—Chris, Rená, and Miles—along with their spouses and her beloved grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by her fiancé, Roger Pennington, and extended family who loved her dearly.

Her legacy includes:

• Son Christopher Bates, wife Carrie, and grandchildren Victoria Jimenez, Kyle Gauthier, and Danae Brown

• Daughter Rená Acevez, husband Hugo, and grandchildren Cristopher, Jacqueline, Adrian, and Hugo

• Son Miles Davenport, wife Erica, and grandchildren Michael, Kayla, Vincent, and Henry

The 7th of 12 children, Patricia lived a life full of humor and quiet strength. She had a tender heart, a contagious laugh, a beautiful smile, and a life filled with loved ones. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, finding her greatest joy in their presence. In her last years she enjoyed many walks with Roger in the park followed by a fresh Coke Zero.

Throughout her life, Patricia carried both joys and sorrows, yet she remained steadfast in her love for her family and in her simple, childlike faith in Jesus. She will be remembered for her sacrifice, her thoughtful spirit, and the way she made others feel seen and loved.

In honor of her wishes, her children, grandchildren, Roger, and his family will gather in August, her birthday month, to lovingly spread her ashes in the place she treasured most. Details about an extended gathering in August will be shared as plans are finalized.

In the meantime, Patricia’s children invite friends and loved ones to share messages, memories, or photos on this page. It is our hopes to turn these in an album in her memory. If you feel comfortable, please include your mailing address so that a memorial card may be sent to you in remembrance of her life. You may also email it privately to Rená at acefam6@icloud.com.

Patricia will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, strength, and tenderness will live on in all who knew her. Thank you for loving Pat and her family through the years.

Patricia, Forever in Our Hearts

We still hear her laughter, so warm and so near; we still see her smile in each photo held dear. Daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. A beloved partner who stood by her, faithful to the end. The seventh of twelve children, yet truly one-of-a-kind. Her quiet strength, her sacrificial ways, her love the truest kind. Though shadows touched her final years and stole familiar parts, love still held her, strong and sure, and never left our hearts. And then the Lord whispered, “Patricia… come home.” She heard the voice she trusted. The voice she once had known. She stepped into His presence, restored in every part. Now heaven holds her softly in everlasting peace; yet her love remains among us. A light that will not cease.
